My camera opens my eyes. With it, I see shapes, colors, shadows, and forms I would otherwise ignore. New worlds appear everywhere.
Michael began his professional life (Phase 1) as an art historian. With a doctorate in medieval manuscripts, he taught courses in Medieval and Northern Renaissance Art at the University of North Texas for several years. Next, tiring of academia, he entered Phase 2 by going back to school to become a lawyer. Michael focused his legal practice on patent litigation, copyrights, and art law. He also co-owned JM Gallery, an art gallery that featured works on paper and sculptural work by (mostly) local artists, whose talent inspired him and spurred his own creative desires. Those desires are now the focus of Phase 3. Having retired from the law, Michael is having a go at making his own art, and he thanks you for your interest in looking at it here.
